Murk (Nonet Poem)

Firm affectations dock with the frost
Ambling clouds spread desolate paint
Impairing moored voyages
Trumpeting bell’s warning
Heavy fog lingers
Lucid harbor
Echoes mirth

For Colleen’s Weekly Tanka Tuesday Poetry Challenge: Poet’s Choice! #SynonymsOnly.

I’m using synonyms for anchor (moored and related word dock) and crawl (linger and related word amble).

This is my first crack at the Nonet poetry style, a syllabic form that consists of a descending count of 9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1. I also mixed in an acrostic (or puzzle), where my poem’s beginning letter of each line spells out a word.
