Crumpled (Haiga)

For Colleen’s 2019 Weekly #Tanka Tuesday #Poetry Challenge No. 122, I made a Haiga with a watercolor that I painted from an image I found on pixabay and I then wrote a Senryu. The words I selected to use synonyms of were yield and cutie. I used crumpled and beauty.

As this is for Valentines Day, I also used feminine rhyme (rhymes of stressed syllables followed by unstressed, as found in tumbles / crumpled). Thank you for reading and Happy Valentines Day!!

petal tumbles down
comforting his crumpled ground
beauty stems from her

Senryu:

petal tumbles down
comforting his crumpled ground
beauty stems from her
