Colleen’s 2019 Weekly #Tanka Tuesday #Poetry Challenge No. 130 #SynonymsOnly, my words were Bright & Convey so I used Sparkling & Spoken in a Haiga made with one of my watercolors.
Senryu: these leaves
sparkling green do not mean what they used to flower's spoken for
Colleen’s 2019 Weekly #Tanka Tuesday #Poetry Challenge No. 129 #SynonymsOnly Hobby & Play, I used Craze & Sport in a Senryu…and I had the perfect graphite to combine into a Haiga!
crazed hatching tells of a nest sporting new shells dragon awakens
Colleen’s 2019 Weekly #Tanka Tuesday #Poetry Challenge No. 128 #SynonymsOnly Spring & Sing, I used Bound & Call. With my graphite, I combined this Senryu into a Haiga.
call bluffing wild worms inching a creepy dive bound for her apple
Colleen’s 2019 Weekly #Tanka Tuesday #Poetry Challenge No. 127 #SynonymsOnly Follow & Lead, I used Hound & Lie. These seemed to easily fit one of my watercolors as a Haiga:
she hounds me across the board weeping, my mount lies
Colleen’s weekly prompt, the first of the month means dealers, er, I mean author’s choice…so here goes. My words are break and lashing. I’m using one of my watercolors (actually one of my favorite ones to paint so far), and it inspired me to write a Senryu for – which could lend itself to the Haiga form:
break their fears lashing out in pain tears salting warm waves
Colleen’s 2019 Weekly #Tanka Tuesday #Poetry Challenge No. 125 #SynonymsOnly Origin & Write, I used Roots & Pen (though to be fair, I was using Pen as a way to enclose, rather than to write…).
Left bare – my
roots dried Below singing her sorrow Human waste chokes life She dawns a dress to pen Spring Disease, it seems, lets it fall
This is one of my own watercolors that inspired me to write, or dare I say to pen?
Lone clasp worn away
Withered sandal bore life’s age Sea culls as things break Obscured under ocean spray Torn naked by foamy waves
